Edgar Brenes Puerto Viejo

Edgar Brenes
Puerto Viejo

Edgar is a Costa Rican architect, for 30 years the masters professor of tropical architecture at the University of San Jose. Today he lives and works in both the capitol, San Jose, and Puerto Viejo, but his family traces it's roots to some of the earliest colonial settlers from Spain, and have since played an illustrious part in Costa Rica's history. He first came to the Caribe Sur 40 years ago to locate a legacy of land deep in the rainforest, and although the land was eventually incorporated into an indigenous reserve, the experience changed his path forever, creating an enduring love for the Talamanca region and it's people.
